It's that time again! Adriana Lima and her flock of angels return to hayu on the 3rd of December for the 2018 presentation of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Grab your most-dependable cocktail and get ready to see some of the world’s most in-demand models, think Gigi and Bella Hadid and Keeping Up with the Kardashiansstar Kendall Jenner, and veterans Alessandra Ambrósio, Behati Prinsloo and Jasmine Tookes strut down the world’s most famous runway in bespoke creations by British designer Mary Katrantzou. While the barely-there lingerie ensembles are grounded more in fantasy than reality, the performances are 100 per cent the real deal, which is why they are one of five reasons to stream the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as soon as it lands on hayu

Shawn, Halsey and Rita, OH MY!

After spreading their wings abroad for the past two years, first in Paris and then Shanghai, the angels have returned to New York for the biggest and most musical show to date. Filling the shoes of last year’s headlining pop crush Harry Styles is Shawn Mendes, while DJ-duo The Chainsmokers, Country music cutie Kelsea Ballerini, Leela James (complete with a backing choir) and The Struts will help serenade the angels down the runaway. Halsey and Rita Ora blur the line between performer and model as both dived into the VS wardrobe before hitting the stage.

The year was 2016 and Bella Hadid walked in her very first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as The Weeknd performed. A massively important career milestone for her, but what was import for the rest of us was watching her live out every ex-girlfriend's fantasy - publicly looking their most unbelievable in front of their ex. Fast forward two years, and The Weeknd is back in Bella's life and back at the show, this time sitting front row with her mom. The RnB singer is one of many proud partners you'll see cheering in the stands. Bittersweet Goodbye

The queen of the Victoria’s Secret runway is set to abdicate her throne. After two decades as the face of the lingerie brand, Adriana Lima will take her final bow on the runway. The emotional must-see sendoff includes a tribute to the Brazilian bombshell’s career and a show-closing walk by the iconic angel to the sounds of Fatboy Slim’s “Praise You,” performed to perfection by Wales’ songstress Hannah Grace. (Not to ruin the moment, but Karlie Kloss also “retired” from the VS runway only to return a few years later. Just saying).

The Boots Are Made For Walking

If feathery wings and jewel-encrusted panties aren’t your thing, prepare to feast your eyes on some OTT footwear. For his fourth turn as VSFS shoe master, Brian Atwood let his imagination run wild, creating a series of looks inspired by both New York City and the picturesque English countryside. Keep an eye out for these thigh-high leather booths covered in Swarovski crystals, which are now on the top of our Christmas wish list.

The Rookies

Can you hear bells ringing? You better listen closely because 18 girls earned their wings – well, their spot in this year’s coveted lineup. While wing status is primarily reserved for official brand ambassadors like Candice Swanepoel and Josephine Skriver, earning a spot on the VS runway is no easy task, and for most, a dream come true. Make sure you have tissues handy for when you see the newbies get the news. Also, try not to lose your cool when you see Winnie Harlow make history as the first model with vitiligo to walk the runway. "We are all the same because we're all different," the 24-year-old trailblazer has said, adding that her walk is important for so many reasons. "People always ask me what would you like to say to little girls with vitiligo. It's bigger than that...it's those little girls with vitiligo, it's that little girl who didn't like her hair, it's that little girl who had freckles, it's that little boy who got teased because his lips were too big. It's everything."
